The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a counteroffensive in the southern direction, but the situation on the contact line remains unstable.
This was reported by the speaker of the Southern Operational Command, Vladyslav Nazarov, on 28 May.
– The situation on the line of contact has its dynamics. As a result of the counter-offensive actions of our troops, the enemy has suffered significant losses and has to take up defenses at unfavorable under-equipped lines. Combat operations are continuing,” he said.
According to a representative of the UC South, the Russian military continues to destroy civilian infrastructure along the administrative border of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. In addition, the enemy fleet continues to operate.
– The enemy’s ship grouping remains unchanged, and the threat of missile strikes remains. The probability of strategic aviation attacks also remains high,” Vladyslav Nazarov noted.
