Most of the Russian commanders left the right bank of the Kherson region, in particular because of the situation at the front on August 18. After all, the day before the exchange fund was replenished with two representatives of the Russian occupation forces.
Nataliya Gumenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, announced this on the Freedom TV channel.
– They confirmed firsthand the behavior of the officers of this army, and the evacuation of the command staff across the Dnipro, – she said.
According to her, one of the reasons for the escape can be considered another control damage to the Kakhov bridge during the past day. The Russian military tried to repair the crossing, as well as create a restoration effect when traffic was allowed.
– However, in fact, with the help of this technique, they evacuated what is personally valuable to them, and their own lives, – Gumenyuk stressed.
