On the 178th day of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian military forced the Russian invaders to retreat in five directions.
The invaders left after an unsuccessful offensive in the Borshchova district in the Kharkiv direction.
The Russians had to do the same near Novodmytrivka, Virnopill and Kurulki in the Slavyansk direction, where enemy units tried to storm.
The offensive and assault actions of the Russian army in the districts of Bakhmut, Zaytsevo and Kodema in the Bakhmut direction were unsuccessful.
On August 20, fighting near these settlements continues.
Battles are also taking place in the Opytny and Mayorsky districts in the Avdiiv direction, where the occupiers are unsuccessfully trying to advance.
The armed forces of Ukraine repulsed the Russian troops after a failed assault in the area of the Zolota Niva in the Novopavlovsk direction.
On August 20, the occupiers are trying to launch an offensive near Ivano-Daryivka in the Kramatorsk direction.
