In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers are trying to find men for “mobilization” into the Russian army and promise a “high standard of living” to pensioners.
This was reported in the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Attempts by the occupiers to carry out “mobilization” were recorded, in particular, in the territories of the Luhansk region, which the Russian army captured in 2022.
For example, in Severodonetsk, the Russians planned to find 500 men to replenish the so-called 2nd Army Corps and “people’s militia” units. According to intelligence, the “mobilization” program has completely failed.
And in the village of Myrne (Kherson region), representatives of the occupation “administration” organized a “meeting” of local residents. In the presence of the Russian military, they raised the issue of recruiting men to the “people’s militia”, noting that age, education, physical or moral condition are not important.
At the same meeting, the issue of obtaining Russian passports and providing for pensioners was discussed. The occupiers told Ukrainians about the “high standard of living” in the Russian Federation and promised “tourist trips” to pensioners.
– Representatives of the occupation “administration” spoke about the “high standard of living” of Russian pensioners. And also that the authorities must “send each of them on tourist trips” every year, – the intelligence agency noted.
Recently, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense informed that there were practically no men left in the temporarily occupied city of Horlivka (Donetsk region) after the “mobilization” of the occupiers. So the Russians were unable to “mobilize” another 6,000 people.
