Ukraine has signed an application to join NATO in an accelerated manner.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
– De facto, we have already made our way to NATO. De facto, we have already proven compatibility with alliance standards. They are real for Ukraine – real on the battlefield and in all aspects of our interaction. We trust each other, we help each other, and we protect each other. This is the alliance, – he said.
According to him, Ukraine is applying today to do this de jure under a procedure that will be consistent with our importance to protect the entire community.
– We are taking our decisive step by signing Ukraine’s application for accelerated accession to NATO, – the president emphasized.
