Russian hackers attack strategic facilities of Ukraine more than 10 times a day.

According to the Head of the SBU Cyber Security Department Ilya Vitiuk, the SBU constantly blocks cyber attacks on energy facilities.

This sector, along with infrastructure and logistics, is a priority target for Russian special services. Recent attacks on thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants were accompanied by cyber attacks. The SBU expected such a scenario, so none of them was effective,” Vitiuk emphasized.

On average, Russia carries out more than 10 cyber attacks on Ukraine per day.

The enemy wants us to be without electricity, water, heating, communication, Internet. So that people could not get information, contact their relatives, could not pay in a store… In the worst case, they can turn off the electricity for some time through a cyberattack, for example, or some services will not work for a short period, but we are working to prevent even this from happening,” the SBU officer emphasized.

Recall that in September Monobank suffered a powerful DDoS attack.
