About 20,000 Russian occupiers remain on the right bank of the Kherson region.
This was reported by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi.
He noted that the Russians first took out civilians, then military personnel who did not take part in active hostilities, logistics and ammunition.
According to Skibitskyi, the Russians are retreating from the second line of defense, to which they were pushed back by Ukrainian troops at the beginning of October.
However, they built a line of defense around Kherson, and “time will tell” whether the occupiers will want to defend the city.
At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiі Reznikov believes that the Russian Federation will need at least a week to withdraw its army from Kherson.
