British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived on an official visit to Kyiv.
The corresponding video of the meeting with the head of the British government was released by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine and Great Britain had been powerful allies from the first days of the full-scale war.
The Head of State also said that during today’s meeting, he had discussed with Rishi Sunak the most important issues for both countries and global security.
To recall, on October 25, Rishi Sunak officially became the new Prime Minister of Great Britain. On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with the newly appointed Prime Minister and invited him to visit Kyiv.
Rishi Sunak promised Ukraine would be his first country to visit if elected head of the British government. However, the first country was Egypt, where he went to the UN climate conference, which started on November 6.
The British Prime Minister supports our country in the fight against the Russian aggressor. Thus, speaking at the first meeting of the G20 summit in Bali, Rishi Sunak said that Russia should get out of Ukraine and stop this barbaric war.
