President Volodymyr Zelenskyу believes that if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin dies, Russia’s war against Ukraine will end. He connects this with the fact that the institutions of the occupying country will stop working

Zelenskyу expressed this opinion in a special edition of the Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

He added that it is necessary to state the fact that a large percentage of Russians believe in Putin.

– You know how: close the window and hide from the war. Shake it off. That’s all. Not knowing where you live. Do not recognize the reality. And there are people who are simply afraid. Those who understand reality, but are simply afraid, – Zelenskyу emphasized.

According to him, if Vladimir Putin dies due to an accident or illness, there will be no war, because in an authoritarian regime, a lot depends on one person.

– Therefore, when such a person leaves, institutions stop. That was the case in the USSR. Everything stopped. It will be difficult for them. They will deal with domestic policy, not foreign policy, – said President Zelenskyу.
