On Sunday, February 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on 200 people associated with the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decree No. 75/2023 was published on the President’s website.
The sanctions include 199 Russian citizens and one Ukrainian – collaborator Yuriy Chernichuk, who the Russians appointed as the “director” of the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP.
It is noted that the sanctions are imposed based on proposals submitted by the Security Service of Ukraine for 50 years.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was instructed to inform the competent authorities of the EU, the US, and other countries about the imposition of sanctions and to raise the issue of introducing similar restrictive measures.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced sanctions against 182 Russian companies and three individuals.
