Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has announced that the Ukrainian army will automate the accounting of property, spare parts and the equipment repair module.
He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
– “The full-scale war has made a number of forced adjustments to many processes. Some reforms are moving more slowly. And some are gaining momentum because they are necessary.
One of these urgent changes is the automation of logistics processes, including accounting in the Armed Forces using the German ERP system SAP,” the statement said.
Reznikov added that the project is currently in the active phase and will start with two tracks: automation of inventory of material property and automation of spare parts and equipment repair module.
– “We are currently discussing with SAP SE (Germany) the details of the proposed package of licenses, technical and consulting support. We are recruiting a team, mostly from the ranks of the mobilized, necessary SAP specialists,” the minister emphasized.
According to him, a working group with representatives of the armies of NATO member states that use the same solution, SAP4HANA, is already working.
– “Today, the key task is to implement it as soon as possible. We are discussing options with our partners. At the same time, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, we are actively looking for donors to help with computer equipment,” said Reznikov.
He also said that the system already has spare parts for the first foreign automated teller machine.
