The situation around Bakhmut remains difficult. In the past day alone, 35 clashes took place near Bohdanivka, Predtechyny, and 29 in the area of Bakhmut itself and its surroundings.
Serhiy Cherevaty, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told about this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, our General Staff knew about the “big offensive” of the invaders, so it built a competent echelon defense. And even at the stage of deployment of the armed forces, they often covered the enemy with missile strikes or artillery or air strikes. Therefore, the invaders did not achieve any significant success.
However, difficult battles continue there. At least 222 times, the enemy shelled the entire Bakhmut Front with barrel artillery and MLRS.
Our soldiers killed 107 occupiers, 133 were injured.
The second direction where the enemy is most active is Kupyansk – Liman.
During the day, Russian invaders hit our positions in this direction 408 times. There were four military clashes, 10 air raids.
A characteristic feature of this direction is that here the enemy uses regular troops and a lot of armored vehicles. For example, it was possible to destroy four T-90 tanks, a Buk anti-aircraft missile complex, and an Akatia self-propelled gun only in the past day. It was possible to destroy 39 invaders.
