Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, commented on the attacks by naval drones in occupied Sevastopol and the use of attack UAVs.
Ignat did not confirm Ukraine’s involvement in another attack by surface drones on Russian-occupied Sevastopol.
– We have no information from official sources. There is information from Russian mass media, which started shouting feverishly that there was an attack by drones and they destroyed everyone. We are very restrained in commenting on such things that are happening in Russia and in the Ukrainian Crimea. Because silence is silence. It should be preserved in order not to harm the actions that are taking place today, in particular in the south of our country, – said the spokesman.
However, Ignat noted that it is not easy to capture and destroy surface drones that move with waves.
The spokesman also said that Ukraine is faced with new types of weapons, in particular, guided aerial bombs and drones, but will not lag behind in the use of strike-type UAVs.
