The Ukrainian military is recording signs that the Russian occupiers are preparing for an offensive in the Liman-Kupiansk sector.
Thus, in the area where until recently there was a lull because the Russians were finishing strengthening their fortifications, fighting resumed and air strikes became more frequent.
According to Ilya Yevlash, a spokesman for the Eastern Military Group, the enemy used Su-35 attack aircraft and Ka-52 helicopters 21 times.
Most of the attacks took place, in particular, near Siversk and Serebryansk forestry.
In addition, the enemy opened fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 517 times.
In addition, Ilya Yevlash added on the air of the national telethon of the United News, the Russians are gradually beginning to resume combat operations in this area. There have already been two of them.
By the way, the 25th Combined Arms Army is joining the fighting, despite problems with training, equipment and personnel.
Meanwhile, the defense forces continue to destroy the occupiers and their military equipment. Only the day before, the Russian invaders in the Liman-Kupyansk sector lost 22 weapons.
As a reminder, on September 27, the Defense Ministry’s intelligence called a new coordinated offensive by the Russian military unlikely in the coming weeks, given the way Russia is deploying elements of its new 25th Combined Arms Army.
Currently, units of the two maneuverable components of this army – the 67th Motorized Rifle Division and the 164th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade – are concentrated in the sector west of Sievierodonetsk and Kreminna, along the border between Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to British intelligence, the fact that the deployment of this army to reinforce the overstretched front line is fragmented reduces the likelihood of a new Russian offensive in the near future.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 582 days.
