Occupiers from all over the Russian Federation are pulling forces to the east in order to break through the defense of the Armed Forces
The Russians are drawing reserves from all over the Russian Federation to the eastern front in order to break through the line of defense of the Armed Forces. But the invaders have no strategic success in this direction.
Volodymyr Fityo, the head of the press service of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the telethon.
— Russian units Storm-Z, Storm-V, which consist of former prisoners, penal officers and mobilized. They simply throw them into storms, – the press officer said.
Russian units are trying to storm the positions of the Armed Forces, but our military is actively defending. Now the fiercest battles in the East are taking place in the Kupyansk direction. Only last day, the Russian enemy hit the positions of the Ukrainian defenders 691 times.
The main goal of the invaders is to enter Kupyansk , to occupy it again, in order to show it as a victory, which they have not had for a long time.
– They were preparing for this, we were also preparing, our positions were being strengthened. Despite such an intensity of shelling, the enemy did not achieve strategic success in this direction, – emphasized the spokesman of the command, Volodymyr Fityo.
As for the Bakhmut direction, the situation there is quite tense, but under control.
