Kuleba: According to the capabilities of the Armed Forces, they are de facto becoming NATO’s army
The Ukrainian army is now the most powerful in Europe, besides, it is constantly increasing interoperability with NATO, said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at a briefing in Brussels before the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.
– To a large extent, we are de facto becoming NATO’s army in view of our capabilities and principles of management, – the diplomat emphasized.
According to him, at the first meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of heads of foreign policy departments, he intends to raise the issue of creating a common Euro-Atlantic defense industry space.
– This is the only way not only to continue helping Ukraine at a sufficient level, but also to guarantee the security and defense capability of the NATO countries themselves, – added Kuleba.
He noted that the second message is that Ukraine will continue to fight for the restoration of territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders since 1991.
– Nothing will stop us. The problem here is not only the security of Ukraine, but also the security of the entire Euro-Atlantic space, – concluded the head of the MFA.
The Ukraine-NATO Council was created based on the results of the summit in Vilnius in July 2023. The first meeting of foreign ministers of the NATO Council – Ukraine will take place in Brussels on November 28-29.
