Zelenskyy on the counteroffensive: We wanted faster results

The summer counteroffensive did not bring the expected results due to a constant lack of weapons and ground forces to advance quickly, but Ukraine will not give up.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with AP, answering the question of whether he was satisfied with the results of the counteroffensive.
– We wanted faster results. From this point of view, unfortunately, we have not achieved the desired results. And this is a fact,” the head of state said.
At the same time, he noted that we are not retreating, and over the past few months we have managed to achieve gradual territorial gains against a better-armed and fortified enemy.
– We do not have enough forces to achieve the desired results faster. But this does not mean that we should give up, that we should surrender. We are confident in our actions. We are fighting for what is ours,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 646 days.
