The Russian Federation hangs a thermobaric charge on Shahed: experts told why it is dangerous
The Russian Federation began equipping Shahed-136 kamikaze drones with a thermobaric warhead weighing almost 40 kg, which creates a completely new level of threat.

What will be the action of such a combat unit for a drone is difficult to answer, as a lot depends on its type (one-stroke or two-stroke) and components, experts point out.
At the same time, in any case, it will be about the probability of damage to hundreds of square or cubic meters.
– During the detonation of a thermobaric ammunition, a shock wave is formed, following which the elements of the thermobaric mixture begin to move. This mixture interacts with the air and with itself and a “cloud” with a temperature of 2400-2600°C is formed, which “lives” for about one second, – the report says.
This “cloud”, unlike the shock wave from a high-explosive ammunition, “spreads” and fills the entire volume. That is, it is impossible to hide from the wave around the corner.
Also, during the explosion, a powerful shock wave is formed, which affects the lungs, hearing organs, etc.
