On Monday, December 11, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will pay a working visit to the United States. There, he will meet with his American counterpart Joe Biden and hold important meetings and negotiations.

Political analyst Oleh Sayakyan told Fakty ICTV that the visit is definitely aimed at influencing the budget process in the United States.
– “I think that the key here is not so much the meeting with Biden as other individual meetings that may take place with the most influential congressmen, senators, and support groups for Ukraine,” Saakyan said.
According to him, the key goal of the meeting between Zelenskyy and Biden is the so-called synchronization of watches. In addition, the presidents are likely to discuss the defense aspect, i.e., some specific things about what to expect next year, how Ukraine and the United States see future cooperation.
At the same time, one should not expect much progress from the talks, the expert notes.
– I would not expect any particular breakthroughs from them. The only thing that can happen is some serious announcements regarding the progress that is already being made. For example, regarding joint arms production. There has been a real intensification of activity between Ukraine and the United States in this area lately,” Sayakyan emphasized.
The political analyst does not rule out strong statements following the Zelenskyy’s visit, but they are likely to be made regarding cooperation that is already underway.
