The Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of ammunition and are curtailing some operations – Tarnavskyi

Ukrainian front-line forces faced a shortage of artillery shells and curtailed some military operations due to a lack of foreign aid.
This was reported by Reuters with reference to the commander of the operational-strategic group of Tavria troops, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
– There is a problem with ammunition, especially post-Soviet ammunition – it is 122 mm, 152 mm. And today these problems exist along the entire front line, – he said.
According to Tarnavskyi, the lack of artillery shells is a “very big problem”, and the reduction of foreign military aid affects the state of affairs at the front.
– The volumes we have today are not sufficient for us, given our needs. Therefore, we redistribute them. We are rescheduling the tasks we set before ourselves and making them smaller because we need to provide them, – he said, without giving details.
Russian troops also have problems with ammunition, the general said.
The commander said that the Ukrainian troops on the southeastern front went on the defensive in some areas, but the military is trying to advance on others.
– In some areas, we moved (to defense), and in some areas we continue offensive actions – by maneuvering, firing and moving forward. And we are preparing our reserves for our further large-scale actions, – added Tarnavskyi.
Earlier, the spokeswoman of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of the South, Natalia Нumenіuk, said that the Defense Forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
