The destruction of three Russian Su-34s at once was a brilliantly planned operation by the Ukrainian Air Force. It’s been a long time since such fighters have been added to the statistics of Russian losses.

Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, said this on the air of the United News telethon.

– “They (Russians – Ed.) strike at us every day and feel free to operate in the airspace in the occupied territories. As we can see, sometimes they manage to violate this freedom and destroy Russian aircraft,” he said.

According to Ihnat, the operation to destroy the enemy on the outskirts of our country was planned by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.

– “You know, it happened in the North, when three helicopters and two Russian planes were destroyed at once, and in Odesa region Russian “drones” were destroyed twice. And this time, three aircraft were shot down in the southern direction at once. This has not happened for a long time. The Su-34 has not been included in our positive statistics for a long time,” the spokesman reminded.

He also noted that Russia has dozens of such aircraft and continues to produce them. These are the fighters the occupiers use to launch guided bombs and missiles.

– This is one of the newest aircraft, along with the Su-35, a fighter-bomber. It is a multi-purpose aircraft with a crew of two pilots… It is a rather expensive modern aircraft. It costs tens of millions of dollars. I think it can cost at least 50 million dollars,” Ihnat emphasized.

At night, the Russian military attacked Ukraine with 28 attack drones. As a result, 24 Shahed UAVs were shot down.
