Umerov and Austin discussed the latest security developments and the renewal of the Armed Forces structure
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov had a phone conversation with Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin on Friday, December 22.
The head of the Ministry of Defense announced this on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

The Pentagon press service reported that during the conversation, the parties raised the topic of planning future meetings in the Ramstein format.
It was noted that the Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and the United States promised to maintain close contact.
In early December, Ukraine and the United States signed a memorandum on joint production and exchange of technical data.
