Ukrainian Armed Forces: Commanders’ abuse forces Russians to surrender in whole groups
The occupants have begun to refuse to participate in assaults more often and surrender in whole groups. One of the reasons is the inhumane treatment by the Russian command.
This was reported by Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, on the air of the United News telethon.
– There is information about an increasing number of occupants’ refusals to participate in assault operations. In particular, this is recorded in the units of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces. Entire groups of Russian military began to surrender,” said Shtupun.
He clarified that over the past three days, one group of six occupants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was captured after a short battle, and another, almost the same number, surrendered without a fight at all – “they came out by voice after just a few shots in the air.”
– One of the reasons why the enemies do this is because of the inhumane treatment they receive from their command. For refusing to go on pointless assaults or for any other offenses, officers strip them naked, this is in winter, put them in cold pits, beat them and threaten to shoot them,” said the spokesman.
Recently, Russian prisoner of war Daniil Pushkarev said that deserters in the Russian Armed Forces are killed and dismembered in front of soldiers and medics so that the former get used to blood and the latter “learn” how to provide assistance in this way. According to him, such people are usually reported missing.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 670 days.
