10 Kinzhals shot down is a record: Zaluzhnyi calls for more Patriot SAMs

Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said that during the January 2 missile attack, the Air Force set a record for shooting down Daggers using the Patriot air defense system and called on partners to provide Ukraine with more such systems.
– Today, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 10 out of 10 Russian X-47M2 Dagger air defense missiles using Patriot air defense systems. This is a record. If the missiles had hit the target, the consequences would have been catastrophic,” he wrote on the X network.
Zaluzhnyi thanked the partners for the systems already provided, but noted that “there is no reason to believe that the enemy will stop there, so we need more systems and ammunition for them.”
In addition to the 10 Daggers, the air defense forces shot down all three Kalibr cruise missiles and 59 of 70 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles during a massive strike on Ukraine on January 2.
