Russia’s next goal is to capture Chasiv Yar: what’s happening at the Bakhmut direction
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks by Russian occupants advancing in the area of Bohdanivka and Andriivka. The Russian army tried to launch an offensive in the direction of Chasovyi Yar.
This was stated by Volodymyr Fitio, head of the public relations service of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a commentary to Ukrainian journalists.
– Chasiv Yar is the next target of the enemy. The least of the tasks is to capture the town for further attack and reach the administrative borders of Donetsk region,” explained the spokesman.
According to him, the occupants carried out three air strikes, used 36 kamikaze drones and carried out 449 artillery and mortar attacks. He noted that Russians use drones in equal numbers.
The spokesperson noted that Ukrainian defenders eliminated 113 occupants and destroyed 48 pieces of Russian military equipment over the last day, including two infantry fighting vehicles, one airborne assault vehicle and one drone control center.
