This winter, the main efforts of the Russian Federation are focused on the destruction of infrastructure facilities, primarily the facilities of our defense-industrial complex, as well as headquarters, control systems, and individual units on the front line. The threat to the power system also remains.
This was stated by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyі, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, noting that the aggressor country is not achieving its chosen goals.
– The weapons used by Russia are very inaccurate. And, unfortunately, it is mostly the civilian population that suffers from them, – he emphasized.
At the same time, according to him, the fact that the Russians do not attack energy facilities does not mean that they do not monitor the state of our energy industry.
– Military intelligence clearly knows that they have conducted an analysis to launch strikes on our energy facilities in 2022-2023. The Russians have identified the most critical objects that can be hit by missile weapons, as well as drones, – Skibitskyi explained.
According to intelligence data, the Russian Federation continues the space survey of energy objects in order to deliver such strikes if possible and if necessary.
– Therefore, the threat to our energy system remains, – added the intelligence officer.
The last mass attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine was on the night of January 13 . The enemy used cruise, aeroballistic, ballistic, aviation, anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as attack drones – a total of 40 means of air attack.
