What is known about the condition of those released from captivity

Yusov said that captivity is always difficult, and it is definitely not about some European idea of respecting the rights of prisoners of war when it comes to the Russian Federation.

– Objectively, as in many other cases, the condition (of the prisoners who were returned home on January 31 – Ed.) varies, depending on where they were brought from. Among them were almost 40 wounded, seriously wounded and seriously ill. They were immediately taken by ambulances,” he said.

The Defence Intelligence representative noted that the rehabilitation of the soldiers will be carried out in accordance with all protocols.

On January 31, Ukraine returned 207 Ukrainian prisoners of war from Russian captivity. This is the second major exchange after a long break.
