Zelenskyy does not consider the situation at the front a stalemate – the spokesman

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the Italian TV channel RAI did not talk about the seemingly stalemate situation at the front.
Presidential spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov wrote about this on Facebook.
According to him, when Zelenskyy spoke about the ground part of the Defense Forces’ operations, in particular about the counteroffensive in the south, he described it as stagnation.
– In the interview of the President of Ukraine to the Italian TV channel RAI, there was no mention of the seemingly stalemate situation at the front. Speaking about the results of the summer actions, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that their sea part gave a positive result: Ukraine was able to restore an independent grain corridor, but the land part of the operations ended in stagnation. We are specifically talking about counteroffensive actions in the south, – Nikiforov noted.
He emphasized that this does not give the right to describe the overall situation at the front as a stalemate.
According to the president, the stagnation on the land front line was caused, in particular, by delays in the corresponding ammunition.
Nikiforov cited the original words of Volodymyr Zelenskyy:
– I would say this: the naval part of the operation had a positive effect – we pushed out their ships, Russia lost many ships, and most importantly, it lost its influence in the Black Sea, and we built a grain corridor independent of Russia.
Therefore, this part, the pragmatic part of the operation, which affected the economy, the budget of Ukraine, we carried it out positively.
As for the land line, you are right and there is stagnation. And this is a fact, because something was missing. Sometimes you think that this is the date, that they will move forward. I believe there were delays in terms of the amount of ammunition that was appropriate. And delays are a miscalculation.
And President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized in an interview that Ukraine has to fight not just a terrorist organization – we are fighting terrorists, who are one of the largest armies in the world.
