Syrskyi compares Russia’s and Ukraine’s losses in the war

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has compared Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine.
He said this in an interview with the German news service ZDF.
According to him, the Russian army suffers much more losses in manpower than the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– According to the latest data, their losses, especially in deaths, are 7-8 times higher than our losses,” Syrsky commented.
Appointment of Syrskyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On February 8, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Syrskyi has been known since 2014, when he was appointed First Deputy Chief of the Main Command Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There he was responsible, among other things, for cooperation with NATO.
In 2019, he was appointed Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Colonel General.
During the full-scale war with Russia, he effectively commanded operations on the Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Donetsk directions.
Former U.S. Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges praised this appointment to the highest military leadership position in Ukraine and is convinced that Syrskyi as the chief commander is sad news for the Russians.
