A new position has been created in the Presidential Office – a special commissioner for the implementation of international security guarantees and the development of Ukraine’s defense forces. Yevhen Moysiuk was appointed to this position.
This is evidenced by a decree on the president’s website.
Who is Yevhen Moysiuk
Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevhen Moysiuk previously served as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. He lost this position during the reset of the military leadership initiated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
From 2019 to 2021, Moysiuk was the commander of the Air Assault Forces, and before that, he was the deputy commander of the Airborne Forces.
As a reminder, on February 11, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a number of decrees on dismissals and appointments of commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
