To defeat the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the East in the summer: Intelligence Committee reveals the essence of Russia’s Maidan-3 operation
Russian special services have spent an astronomical $1.5 billion on the most expensive information operation in history called Maidan-3, which is expected to peak in March-May 2024.
This is stated in a statement by the Intelligence Committee under the President of Ukraine.
Special operation Maidan-3: what is the goal of the Russian special services?
– The Maidan-3 special operation will culminate in March-May 2024. In the coming weeks, the enemy will make every effort to spread narratives destructive to global security and attempts to incite conflicts – both within Ukraine and in other parts of the world where there is effective support for Ukraine, Ukrainians are warned.
They will try to question the legitimacy of the decisions made by the authorities in Ukraine after May 20, spread panic and disbelief, artificially oppose civilians and the military, and also to quarrel Kyiv with its allies and spread so-called conspiracy theories.
– This is happening against the backdrop of Russia’s public statements about the creation of new types of superweapons, which, according to the Russians, should ensure Russia’s technical superiority over the West for the next decade. It follows that opposition to Russia’s goals in Ukraine is dangerous for the world, and therefore it will push other countries to engage in direct dialogue on Ukraine without our participation,” the statement explains.
Also, according to the Security Service, the Russians will try to organize protests with the help of agents of influence in Ukraine and around the world, and will deliberately discredit the process of prisoner of war exchange.
– “According to the enemy’s plan, in the first half of June, the situation in our country will be shaken, and then, taking advantage of this, Ukraine will be defeated militarily in the East, and this is the key idea of their operation,” the special service said.
Therefore, they call on Ukrainians, international partners and allies to strengthen joint resistance and security measures, especially in the information space, to effectively counter global threats and challenges of the new global hybrid war.
What is known about Maidan-3
Back in November, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing intelligence and partners, said that Russia was seeking to spread its new disinformation plan, the so-called Maidan-3.
According to him, in this way Moscow wants to sow division among Ukrainians, create chaos inside the country, and remove the president from power.
