Air defense, F-16s, and the drone coalition: Umerov tells about the results of Ramstein 20

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov positively assessed the results of the 20th Ramstein Summit, which took place on March 19 in Germany.
He noted that the partner countries showed solidarity and unity in their desire to assist Ukraine amid a full-scale war with Russia.
Umerov wrote about this on his Facebook page.
– “Our war for the restoration of territorial integrity is the first full-scale drone war. There are several new countries that have joined the drone coalition and made contributions. This coalition will result in the first deliveries of drones to Ukraine in March. We are also discussing the possibility of investing in the Ukrainian production of UAVs, which have already shown their effectiveness on the battlefield,” the official said.
He went on to announce the transfer of another key element of combat – ammunition – to the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the allies.
– This was the main topic of the meeting. The partners announced aid packages that include 155 mm, 152 mm, 105 mm artillery shells and others. We are grateful to our partners for searching for and finding ammunition that is so necessary to repel the aggressor,” Umerov emphasized.
Also, according to the Defense Minister, the partners intend to increase the number of missiles for air defense systems to protect the sky over Ukraine. The agreements on fourth-generation F-16 fighters have also moved forward.
– We are actively working with all partners involved: The United States, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania and others, so that the planes can be in Ukraine as soon as possible,” Umerov summarized.
