Their lobby is everywhere: Zelenskyy warned that the Russian Federation has infiltrated US politics
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy declares that Russia has its lobby almost all over the world – in the USA, Great Britain, Latin America, and Africa.
He said this in an interview with the American publication Politico.
According to Zelenskyy, while the aid package languishes in the Republican-controlled US House of Representatives, Putin will destroy Ukrainian cities and kill hundreds of thousands of people if the Russian military wins the war.
The Russian lobby in Congress
In recent weeks, two Republican lawmakers who support the idea of helping Ukraine – Reps. Mike Turner of Ohio and Mike Turner of the US – have said that Russian propaganda has infiltrated the thinking of some members of Congress.
Zelenskyy also believes that Russia has its influence in such democratic countries as the United States.
– They have lobbies everywhere: in the USA, in EU countries, in Great Britain, in Latin America, in Africa. When we talk about Congress – do you notice how they work with society in the United States? – said Zelenskyy.
And the President of Ukraine noted that Russia has succeeded in deforming the information field of the world. Yes, American citizens are actually doing Russia’s work in the American media, he said.
