Today, April 23, the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak will visit Poland, where he will announce the largest ever package of military aid to Ukraine. It will include boats, long-range Storm Shadow missiles and projectiles.

It is noted that during the visit to Poland, Sunak will announce a significant increase in military support for Ukraine, including 500 million pounds ($617 million) of additional military funding and the largest-ever supply of vital equipment.
The funds will be used for the rapid delivery of ammunition for the Armed Forces, air defense equipment, drones and engineering support. UAVs will be purchased in Great Britain.
New aid to Ukraine from Great Britain
The assistance package will include:
- 60 boats, including raiding and diving boats, as well as naval guns;
- Over 1,600 attack and anti-aircraft missiles, plus additional long-range Storm Shadow missiles;
- More than 400 pieces of equipment, including 160 Husky armored infantry vehicles, 162 armored vehicles and 78 all-terrain vehicles;
- About four million small arms ammunition.
Thus, the total amount of British military aid to Ukraine this financial year will reach 3 billion pounds (about 3.69 billion dollars).
The aid package will be used for “rapid delivery of urgently needed munitions, anti-aircraft defenses, drones and engineering support.” The drones will be purchased in Great Britain.
– Protecting Ukraine from the brutal ambitions of Russia is vital for our security and for the whole of Europe. If Putin is allowed to succeed in this aggressive war, he will not stop at the Polish border, – Sunak emphasized.
British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said the new support would help our country restore peace.
– This record package of military aid will provide President Zelenskyу and his brave nation with more means necessary to oust Putin and restore peace and stability in Europe, – he emphasized.
Earlier, Britain announced the possibility of providing Ukraine with a DragonFire laser prototype.
