The situation has escalated: the Russian army is trying to capture Ivanivske and break through to Chasovyi Yar
The situation at the frontline in eastern Ukraine has become more complicated as Russian troops are trying to break through to Chasovyi Yar, storming Ivanivske and the outskirts of Bohdanivka in Bakhmut district on their way.
This was stated by Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of troops, on the air of the national information telethon Yedynyi Novyny.
What is the situation at the front now
– “The occupants are trying to capture Ivanivske and the outskirts of Bohdanivka, break through to Chasovyi Yar, where the soldiers have been holding back the enemy for days and stabilising the situation in this area,” said the spokesman for the Khortytsia Joint Task Force.
According to him, the situation on the Eastern Front has recently escalated, but there have been no significant changes.
The Khortytsia spokesman noted that the hottest areas are Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka. He stressed that the situation is difficult, but the Ukrainian Defence Forces are in control.
Nazar Voloshyn said that Russian troops in some areas and directions are trying to storm the positions of Ukrainian soldiers using artillery, tanks, drones of various types and aviation.
He assures that the Defence Forces are successfully suppressing the occupiers’ attempts to advance, as they are destroying a large number of Russian vehicles.
At the same time, he is convinced that military assistance from partners, which is to be delivered to the front soon, will have a significant impact on the situation along the entire frontline.
In particular, the situation will improve in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors, said Khortytsia.
