Lithuania has provided military assistance to Ukraine worth about €610 million. This year, about €84 million has already been provided, and the goal is to maintain this momentum.

What we know about the M577 armoured personnel carrier

The M577 is a command and control armoured vehicle based on the US M113 armoured personnel carrier.

This vehicle is designed to serve as a battalion-level mobile command post. The M577 can also be used as an armoured ambulance.

The M577 usually does not have combat modules and is not capable of combat.

The M577 armoured personnel carriers are in service in many countries, including the United States, Lithuania, South Korea, Norway, Taiwan, and others. Last year, Ukraine received at least two such vehicles from Portugal.
