Zelenskyy: We come to every decision a year late, the West’s assistance to Ukraine is too slow

Western allies are taking too long to make key decisions on military support for Ukraine.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Reuters.
Military assistance to Ukraine
In his opinion, Ukraine and its allies come to each decision with a delay of about one year.
– “The Russians use 300 aircraft on the territory of Ukraine. We need at least 120-130 planes to counter them in the sky. Can’t you provide that right now? Good. Going back to the planes you have in neighbouring NATO countries: get them up there, shoot down targets, protect civilians. Can they do that? I’m sure they can. Is this an attack by NATO countries, is there any involvement? No,” the Head of State said.
The President noted that Kyiv was negotiating with international partners to use their weapons to strike military equipment and important facilities in Russia.
– “So far, there is nothing positive,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to the President of Ukraine, the situation in the Kharkiv sector is now under control, despite Russia’s attempts to advance.
The Head of State said that the world should not forget that Russia is also actively exerting pressure in eastern Ukraine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already stretched along the frontline for more than 1,000 kilometres, but it takes time to prepare recruits for combat within the framework of mobilisation, the President said.
