The fighting does not abate: one brigade of the Armed Forces holds back three Russian brigades in the Pokrovsk direction
In the Pokrovsk direction, soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are restraining at least three combat brigades of the Russian invaders.
This was reported in the press center of the Ground Forces.
The Russians are storming the Pokrovsk direction
The Russian occupiers do not stop trying to advance, and therefore do not reduce the pace of assaults. The Pokrovsk direction remains the epicenter of the fighting.
According to the Ukrainian military, during the assaults, the invaders suffer huge losses of personnel, but they have significant reserves of manpower, which allows them to continuously throw people into battle. Therefore, the fighting in the Pokrovsky direction does not subside even for a moment.
In the 47th brigade, the military showed how a Bradley fighting vehicle destroys an enemy armored personnel carrier at close range, which, together with the landing party, broke into a settlement.
The situation at the front
On the air, Nazar Voloshyn talked about the situation at the front in this operational zone. According to him, as of the morning of June 8, more than 400 combat encounters have been recorded along the entire line, the enemy has already dropped nine guided aerial bombs and struck 14 kamikaze drones.
– And last day, the enemy fired more than 3,000 shots at the positions of our defenders. This figure is colossal, – emphasized Nazar Voloshyn.
According to Voloshyn, the fiercest battles continue in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions. The enemy is trying to break through on a narrow section of the front between the settlements of Staromykhailivka and Berdychi.

Last week, in the Pokrovsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 220 enemy attacks. These are Kalinovka, Yevgenivka, Sokil, Nevelske, Yasnoborodivka, Novoselivka and Umanske.
In the words of Nazar Voloshyn, the Russian invaders are trying to advance in directions west of Avdiivka, making their way to Pokrovsk and Kurakhovo. The Russians are throwing a lot of forces there – they took the village of Ocheretine, and after it they are trying to get onto the Pokrovsk – Kostiantynivka highway. Thus, the enemy wants to take Pokrovsk and control this route in the future, the spokesman noted.
