Missiles for Patriot and artillery shells: the US allocates a new aid package to Ukraine
The United States of America has allocated a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $150 million. It will include missiles for air defense systems, artillery ammunition, missile complexes and other weapons.
The press secretary of the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre , announced the new aid package to Ukraine during a briefing on July 3.

At the same time, the US Department of Defense will purchase interceptor missiles for Patriot systems worth approximately $2.2 billion, with which Ukraine will be able to defend itself against Russian air attacks.
These funds will be used for the purchase of interceptors for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems for Ukraine, according to the Pentagon’s website.
The full list of the new package of military aid to Ukraine:
- missiles for HAWK air defense systems;
- ammunition for HIMARS;
- 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shells;
- 81-mm mortar mines;
- missiles with optical tracking and wire guidance (TOW);
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank complexes;
- ammunition for small arms and grenades;
- equipment and ammunition for demolition works;
- tactical vehicles for towing and transporting equipment;
- tactical air navigation systems and equipment for aviation support;
- spare parts, maintenance, other field and auxiliary equipment.
As previously announced, the White House plans to accelerate the delivery of these missiles due to changes in the order of future deliveries of military goods to Ukraine.
In this case, Ukraine will receive the means of interception, which are urgently needed to protect the population and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks.
Recently, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced more news about strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses ahead of the NATO summit in Washington.
