The state will completely rebuild Ohmatdyt: when the work will begin
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the state will completely rebuild the Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital, which was destroyed as a result of the Russian attack on July 8.
According to him, the works are starting now.
How much money is needed for the reconstruction of Ohmatdyt
Today, the government allocated 100 million hryvnias from the reserve fund of the state budget for the priority restoration work of the Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital, which was hit by a Russian missile.
Further funding will increase as the reconstruction project is prepared.
Assistance to victims of the July 8 rocket attack
As the head of the government noted, every family with children that suffered from yesterday’s Russian attack will receive assistance in the amount of UAH 10,800 for each family member together with UNICEF.
According to the Prime Minister, President Zelenskyy set the task of finding a location for the relocation of doctors and patients from destroyed and damaged buildings as soon as possible.
Suitable locations have already been found. These are Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospitals No. 1 and No. 2. The order to start the transfer has already been given.
The Prime Minister also thanked everyone who helped with the elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack.
Denys Shmyhal expressed special thanks to all those who participated in fundraising for Ohmatdyt through the United24 platform. According to him, it was possible to collect UAH 100 million in a few hours. These funds will also be used to rebuild the hospital.
