The Armed Forces of Ukraine used ATACMS missiles for strikes on Crimea: the White House named the destroyed targets
The Ukrainian military successfully used American ATACMS long-range missiles to destroy enemy targets in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Thus, the Ukrainian military managed to destroy the anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russians.
This was stated by John Kirby, the US National Security Council’s strategic communications coordinator.
What the Armed Forces destroyed with the help of ATACMS
According to Kirby, the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again demonstrated that, with the support of the West, they can restrain the Russian army.
Kirby emphasized that the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not limited to the front.
– Ukraine used long-range ATACMS strike missiles provided by the US in Crimea, destroying Russian anti-aircraft missile complexes, command posts, airfields, – said the spokesman of the US National Security Council.
He also added that the Ukrainian military had previously sunk a ship in the port of Sevastopol with cruise missiles. Thanks to this, the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation was forced to leave Crimea.
The Pentagon allowed the Armed Forces to fire ATACMS missiles
It was previously reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine will be able to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russian deployment sites and bases in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to American national security officials, long-range missiles can reach deep into Russian-occupied territories and strike enemy supply nodes.
Let us add that the Russian Black Sea Fleet has been forced to relocate almost all of its combat-capable ships from the temporarily occupied Crimea to other locations, and its main naval center is rendered inoperable due to attacks by Ukrainian forces.
The commander of the Armed Forces Navy explained that the attacks of Ukrainian missiles and naval drones caused significant damage to the Russian base in Sevastopol.
