The Ukrainian military is taking measures to drive the Russian occupiers out of the area of Prohres village in Donetsk region.

Situation in the Pokrovsk sector
– The situation in the Pokrovsk sector in the area of responsibility, where units of the 31st separate mechanized brigade are engaged in defensive actions, is tense and complicated. The brigade’s servicemen continue to bravely hold the line in the direction of Progress, Lozuvatske, Ivanivka and Vozdvyzhenka,” the statement said.
According to the grouping of troops, the command of the 31st Brigade is monitoring and analyzing the tactical situation, which results in measures being taken to respond to changes in the situation.
– Enemy units in the Progress area are under fire from the Defense Forces. Measures are being taken to drive the enemy out of there. Fighting continues,” the statement said.
Earlier, Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Kremlin intends to increase the contingent of the Russian occupation army on the territory of Ukraine to 690,000 by the end of 2024. According to him, despite heavy losses, the Russians still have more resources than Ukraine.
