President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that foreign funds have begun to work in defense production, and this is a great achievement.
He said this in his evening address.
Work in the defense sector
The President had a conversation with Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
– “We analyzed the work of the Ministry and the relevant defense enterprises – what has been achieved and what is planned. There are good results. There are many different aspects – in terms of our armored vehicles, drones, and artillery. I am grateful to each and every person who works in our defense enterprises, in our defense industry. It is clear that the industry is becoming completely different – stronger, more efficient,” he said.
Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of finally seeing not only state budget funds but also partner investments in defense production in Ukraine working in a real and visible way.
– “Today, we have decided on updated tasks with Ukroboronprom and our missile specialists. In many areas, we have not only the potential or some results, but also supplies to fulfill the tasks of the Defense and Security Forces – supplies that are growing. In addition, we are preparing steps to increase the number and quality of our long-range drones. Ukraine will always be able to defend its interests,” he added.
The president also said that he had a conversation with the NSDC Secretary about the decisions made by the NSDC and the National Security and Defense Council and the planning of new ones.
Investigation into Farion’s murder
President Zelenskyy asked Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko to provide the public and journalists with all the necessary information on the detention of the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion.
He noted that procedural actions are still ongoing, and all the circumstances of this case are being clarified.
– Tomorrow there should be more information – publicly,” he emphasized.
Finally, Zelenskyy thanked everyone who increases the capabilities of Ukraine, our state, our industries, and our people.
