The Russian Army faced a personnel shortage: Budanov explained whether it was realistic to go to the borders of 1991
In recent months, for the first time, the Russian troops have faced a shortage of personnel, so the enemy is constantly increasing the level of one-time cash payments for signing a contract.
This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine during a closed meeting with graduates of the Kyiv School of Economics, reports Forbes .
Personnel shortage in the Russian army
– Consider why the enemy constantly increases the level of a one-time cash payment for signing a contract. Depending on the region, the amounts have already reached 2 million Russian rubles. This is huge money for Russia, – the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence drew attention.
The answer is obvious – the flow of volunteers is decreasing catastrophically, says Kyrylo Budanov. Russia has a mobilization plan, according to which almost 10% of personnel shortage is recorded, he emphasized.
According to the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, the Russian Ministry of Defense is now trying to rectify the situation.
The enemy understands that if the protracted war continues, he will face a dilemma no later than the summer of 2025 – to stop everything or to announce another large-scale mobilization, he emphasized.
In his opinion, Russia will gravitate to the latter, because large-scale mobilization can seriously shake the political situation.
– I would compare the war with a football match, which goes from the 70th minute to the 90th, in the autumn of 2023. The problem is that there are two types of time calculation: regular – hours, seconds, and event. If we speak in the context of the event, we are not far from the 70th minute, – he believes.
At the same time, Kyrylo Budanov explained whether he considers it realistic to return the borders of 1991 through diplomatic means.
– In my opinion, the resolution of the war issue will take place in a combined way. A combination of military force, pressure of open, and most importantly, covert diplomacy, as well as some other factors – emphasized the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
