In Sumy Oblast, passes for access to border areas will be introduced, as some residents of the region are trying to return after evacuation.
Oleksiy Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, said this on the air of the national telethon.

As Drozdenko says, individual residents of the border regions do not stop trying to return to their native homes after their evacuation took place earlier. At the same time, the City Military Administration does not want to expose them to danger.
– We strongly reject such ideas. In addition, already at the regional level, we are deploying a whole system of passes for those who live there, who have relatives there or similar circumstances. Therefore, there is not an absolutely rigid blockade, although we advise you not to expose yourself to danger, – said Drozdenko.

We will remind you that the Sumy region has a common border with the Kursk region of Russia. It is in the Kursk region that the Armed Forces operation has been going on since August 6.
Prior to that, the terrorist state regularly attacked Sumy Oblast and other border territories of the Russian Federation, in particular, with attack UAVs, missiles, guided aerial bombs, and rocket launchers.
In addition to the evacuation of citizens, since August 13, after the start of the operation in the Kursk region, the military command restricted the movement of all categories of citizens in the twenty-kilometer border zone of the Sumy region.
