The operation of the Armed Forces in the territory of the Kursk region of Russia shows that Ukraine is a responsible state.
This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, in comments to journalists at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Kropyvnytskyi.

– We did not occupy these territories, we did not establish authorities. There is a military commandant. The people who remained receive humanitarian aid and medicine from the military. This is stipulated in the Geneva Conventions, – said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
According to him, this is a matter of state responsibility. And Ukraine shows that it is a responsible country that abides by the signed conventions, says Ihor Klymenko.
He noted that the military gives a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which transmits everything necessary for these people through representatives of the National Police and the State Emergency Service.
– These are people, 90% aged 60+. There are cancer patients, diabetes patients, they do not receive medicine. We have no right to leave them to die.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine emphasized that the military commandant’s office fully ensures the vital activity of those regions in the Kursk region where the Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct a defense operation.
