Today, August 23, on the Day of the National Flag, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed everyone who stands in defense of Ukraine and considers it their home.

According to him, the blue and yellow colors of the national flag lead and unite Ukrainians through the centuries. In these colors is the entire path of our people’s struggle for independence, a path that was never easy.
The head of state noted that in the current Russian-Ukrainian war, we are choosing for ourselves the right to justice, to our security, to our own state.
– And the fact that the criminals who came to destroy Ukraine, who brought ruins to our home, will definitely have ruins at home… We are living in a defining time for the country. We protect independence and will protect it. We squeeze out the occupier and do not give rest to his tricolors, – the president emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that after the war, we must rebuild Ukraine so that our national flag flies as we deserve it – over a proud land, in the middle of a free and safe European life.
– Glory to all who fight and work for Ukraine! Eternal gratitude to all heroes of different times who fought for Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine! – said the head of state decisively.
