We are satisfied with the results of the NATO summit, the allies have made real steps forward – Presidential Administration

At the 75th NATO Summit in Washington, D.C., the countries of the military bloc took new practical steps to support Ukraine in its war with Russia, and the results of the summit are satisfactory.
This statement was made at the NATO Public Forum in Washington by the Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak on Thursday, July 11.
Results of the NATO Summit in Washington
– We are satisfied with the results of the Washington Summit, because the language of the documents is really strong. We see that the allies have made real steps forward. I think the next stop is Ukraine, which should be invited,” he said at the NATO Public Forum in Washington on Thursday.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine noted that, in addition to the demonstrated unity of the Allies on the irreversibility of Ukraine’s path to full membership in NATO, such future membership has high support from Ukrainian society, and now it is not a question of “if” but “when”.
– We continue to believe that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is in our national interest, our security, but also in NATO’s interest,” Yermak said.
He also welcomed the announcement of new air defense systems to Ukraine made at the forum, but emphasized that more is needed.
As a reminder, following the summit, NATO members will create a structure to support Ukraine’s security (NSATU).
Also, the countries of the military bloc declared Ukraine’s accession to NATO irreversible and decided on a minimum basic funding of €40 billion over the next year.
