Boryspil Mayor Urges Residents To Evacuate

Мер Борисполя закликав жителів виїхати з міста

Boryspil Mayor Volodymyr Borysenko has urged the city’s residents to evacuate.

Mr. Borysenko argued that the fewer civilians there are in the city, the easier it is for the Armed Forces to operate.

The Mayor of Boryspil has posted this on his Facebook page.

Mr. Borysenko noted that this applied to both the city’s residents and arriving evacuees from occupied territories or combat zones.

– I call on to the civilian population to be smart and contact our call center, and evacuate the city, if possible. We are offering a ride to those who do not have their own transportation, and those who do, can travel by their own cars in an organized convoy, – Mr. Borysenko said.

He stressed that more people are evacuated from Boryspil to Ukraine’s western regions every day.

– As seen in the case of current combat zones, the fewer civilians there are in the city, the easier it is for the Armed Forces to operate. So, let’s put it this way. There is no urgent need to stay in the city at the moment. The fighting is already underway around us, – Mr. Borysenko said to Boryspil residents.
