Ukrainian women with a medical specialty will not be subject to mandatory mobilization until 2026 – Malyar
Citizens of Ukraine with a medical specialty will not be subject to mandatory mobilization until 2026, and representatives of other professions will only be subject to voluntary mobilization.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, on the air of the national telethon Edyni novyni. She notes that the government is currently adopting changes to the system of accounting for conscripts.
– Until 2026, Ukrainian women who have a medical specialty – the only one for which they can be mobilized – will not have to register. Other professions – only voluntarily, – assures the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense.
Malyar reported that now about 5,000 women are fighting for Ukraine at the front of their own accord. She emphasizes that the changes to simplify the conscription system were planned and developed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces even before the start of the full-scale war started by Russia.
– There is nothing there that would complicate the situation of reservists, conscripts, people who are registered. It is about simplifying the accounting system, – adds Malyar.
